RF Simulation Engineer

Medical Imaging for Breast Cancer Treatment

Our client are a pioneer in the development microwave radar breast imaging technology. They have developed a breast scanning system that uses radio waves instead of X-rays. 

Job Purpose and Primary Objective  

Design and maintain electromagnetic simulation tools to aid in the design and development of the breast imaging system.

Roles and responsibilities


  • Design and maintain CAD models of the companies’ RF Imaging system.
  • Designing tailored experiments in support of R&D activities including simulation of Biological phantoms.
  • Aid in the design of new RF front end hardware such as antenna and the imaging Front End.
  • Improving electromagnetic model efficiency to minimise simulation time.
  • Develop and maintain computational resource to support simulation requirements.
  • Generating technical documentation such as design and validation reports
  • Contribute to system design and development of company product.
  • Liaise with external contractors in the manufacture of the company's product.
  • Support development and maintenance of Technical Files to maintain compliance with ISO 13485, FDA and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Adherence to company plans and product performance goals.  



  • Engineering degree in relevant subject to Masters level.
  • Experience using an CST or similar simulation package in an industrial setting.
  • 2+ years working in a an industrial environment.


  • Experience of MATLAB, Python, C++ programming languages.
