Salary £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
A pioneering medical technology start-up company based in Bristol is looking for an Medical Physicist to help support the future development of a new system. They are in the later stages of developing and commercialising a new technology for detecting breast cancer using radio-waves that has the potential to completely transform how breast cancer is detected.
You will be working closely with the R&D team to manage and oversee data production from the company’s systems using phantom studies and system simulation.
They are really looking for someone who can both generate ideas but who is also competent and passionate about doing the best job they can.
As an Experimental Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Extensive experience working in a medium sized engineering company in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, pharma, aerospace, defence).
- Experience of MATLAB, Python, C++ programming languages.
- Ideally some experience with electrical safety and/or EMC requirements.
- Ability to liaise with engineers and suppliers to build prototype equipment, test jigs and fixtures.
